Along the development of new and better technology, it makes it easier for humans to interact with each other. Humans, in interacting and socializing with one another, often can’t avoid a conflict of interest between them. One of an example of this so called conflict of interest is the conflict of defamation of character, in which this thesis is exemplified in case number 1615/Pid.Sus/2019/PN.Sby which is a real example where someone who essentially makes criticism that is considered excessive and containing a threat which then is reported to the authorities. In this study the authors want to review these problems with the theory of Dignified Justice which is interpreted as a theory that seeks justice that humanizes humans, which means it intends to see justice from its human aspect in the seek of the ultimate form of justice. Based on the background of the problems described, the problems that will be discussed by the author in this study is Analyzing case number 1615/ Pid.Sus/2019/PN.Sby in which that case the author wants to review regarding the basis for the judge in assessing a case of defamation of character that used social media as a platform and also using the theory of Dignified Justice to review the case. The author uses the normative research method by assessing how defamation is viewed rather than its elements in the Law and is reexamined by looking at the opinions of experts written in the books of the literature study. And also the data used is secondary data, namely data in the form of writing, tables, and pictures which are the results of measurements, research results, writings of experts, and so on, which are used to complement primary legal materials and in this research. . The data collection technique used in this research is in the form of "literature study", with a technique of approaching legal principles and an approach to legal cases. Using what has been described, the author wants to conclude in this study that appropriate steps are needed in making case decisions so that the judge who made such decisions may find the truth in regarding in the case. And also the author would like to convey that decisions taken in a defamation case can be tried and achieve justice described in the theory Dignified Justice
