Abstract

PT. Mitra Power Perkasa is a family business company which was established in 2012, the mostly final decision is made by the second generation named Mr. Kelvin. In 2019, the company faces some problem which is a family problem. Due to personal and sensitive matters, finance gets hampered. This research uses the theories about family involvement and its effect to organization performance. One of the theories used explained that family involvement has influence on organization performance. The framework of this research is to find out the relationship between family involvement and organization performance. The methods used by the writer in this research is simple linear regression. Data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. This research uses hypothesis test and coefficient determination to know the effect of family involvement on organization performance. The population size is 59 employees, the sample used census method which amounted to 59 respondents. Based on research result, the simple linear regression showed equation of Y = -1.191 + 2.300 X. It means that variable family involvement has a straight relationship to organization performance. The conclusion on this research is the hypothesis test showed that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, and it means that family involvement has effect on organization performance at PT.Mitra Power Perkasa, Medan. To improve this research, other researchers can add the number of the respondents and it is suggested to add the independent variables that affect the organization performance. / PT. Mitra Power Perkasa adalah perusahaan bisnis keluarga yang didirikan pada tahun 2012, sebagian besar keputusan akhir dibuat oleh generasi kedua yang bernama Bapak Kelvin. Pada tahun 2019, perusahaan menghadapi beberapa masalah yaitu masalah keluarga. Karena urusan pribadi dan sensitif, keuangan jadi terhambat. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori tentang keterlibatan keluarga dan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja organisasi. Salah satu teori yang digunakan menjelaskan bahwa keterlibatan keluarga berpengaruh terhadap kinerja organisasi. Kerangka penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan keterlibatan keluarga dengan kinerja organisasi. Metode yang digunakan penulis dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier sederhana. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji hipotesis dan koefisien determinasi untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterlibatan keluarga terhadap kinerja organisasi. Besar populasi adalah 59 karyawan, sampel menggunakan metode sensus yang berjumlah 59 responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan persamaan Y = -1,191 + 2,300 X. Artinya variabel keterlibatan keluarga mempunyai hubungan langsung dengan kinerja organisasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya keterlibatan keluarga berpengaruh terhadap kinerja organisasi pada PT. Mittra Power Perkasa Medan. Untuk meningkatkan penelitian ini peneliti lain dapat menambah jumlah responden dan disarankan untuk menambah variabel bebas yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja organisasi.
