Abstract

In this era of globalization, every business always tries to keep up with the tight of the competition. Employee performance can help business to grow since its variable is one of the measurements that can achieve company’s goals. To have employees with a good performance, human resources have a responsibility of recruiting, retaining and developing their employees by providing training with good materials in every department. Primary data and secondary data are used in collecting the data by spreading the questionnaires to all the employees who have worked at Coffee Box, Medan. The data that has been collected is 30 people, then it is tested by using validity test and reliability test. The sampling technique is using non-probability with cencus sampling method. By using SPSS 25.0, this research is calculated by classical assumption test which are normality test, heteroscedasticity test and linearity test. Next, the data is also calculated by simple linear regression test, coefficient of determination test (R2), and hypothesis test by using t-test. Hence, this research shows that employee training contributes 54.4% to the employee performance at Coffee Box, Medan. Besides that, the hypothesis test result shows that the H0 is rejected and the Ha is accepted. The results show that Employee Training give an effect on Employee Performance at Coffee Box, Medan. To boost up the employee performance, Coffee Box needs to provide computer-based instruction, upgrading space and layout, using video clips as the learning system to achieve a good performance of the employees./Pada era globalisasi ini, setiap bisnis selalu berusaha dalam menghadapi ketatnya persaingan antar satu usaha dengan usaha yang lain. Dengan adanya kinerja karyawan, dapat membantu suatu usaha untuk berkembang karena variable ini merupakan salah satu ukuran yang dapat mencapai tujuan perusahan yang ingin dicapai. Untuk memiliki karyawan dengan kinerja yang baik, divisi sumber daya manusia memiliki tanggung jawab untuk merekrut, mempertahankan dan mengembangkan Karyawan mereka dengan memberikan Pelatihan dengan materi yang baik di setiap departemen. Dalam mengumpulkan data, dilakukan dengan data primer dan data sekunder dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada seluruh karyawan yang pernah bekerja di Coffee Box Medan. Data yang telah dikumpul sebanyak 30 orang, kemudian diuji dengan menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non-probabilitas dengan metode sensus. Dengan menggunakan SPSS 25.0, penelitian ini dihitung dengan uji asumsi klasik yaitu uji normalitas, heterokedastisitas dan liniaritas. Selanjutnya data juga dihitung dengan uji regresi linear sederhana, uji koefisien determinasi (R2), dan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t. Dalam penelitian ini, pelatihan karyawan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 54.4% terhadap kinerja karyawan di Coffee Box Medan. Selain itu, hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan karyawan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan di Coffee Box Medan. Untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan, Coffee Box perlu menyediakan intruksi berbasis computer, mengunah ruang dan tata letak, menggunakan video klip sebagai system pembelajaran untuk mencapai kinerja karyawan yang baik.
