Abstract
Every company wants to be successful, no matter how competitive their
industries are especially in this era. If companies have achieved it, they would
want to grow it bigger and have constant progress and economic growth.
This purpose of this study is to find out whether there is any influence of
work motivation on employee performance at PT Kartika Plasindo Pratama
Medan. The theory used in this study is related to the theory of work motivation
and employee performance.
In this study, the method used by the author is quantitative analysis
method. The types of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data.
Data was collected through interviews, observation and questionnaires which
were distributed to employees at PT Kartika Plasindo Pratama Medan. The
population at the company is 52 and the sample of the research itself is 52 as well.
The pre-test is done by distributing questionnaires to employees outside the
company.This study uses census sampling method by taking a number of
populations as samples to be tested using SPSS.
From the output of the Coefficient of Determination, it can be obtained
that the R2
value is 0.522 or 52.2%. It means that the employee performance is
52.2% explained by motivation and the remaining 47.8% is explained by other
variables that are not included in the research. Based on the T-test result, the value
is 0.000 and it is below 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis “Work Motivation has
influence on the employee performance at PT Kartika Plastindo Pratama Medan”
is accepted./Setiap perusahaan ingin sukses, tidak peduli seberapa kompetitif
industrinya apalagi di era ini. Jika mereka telah mencapainya, mereka ingin
perusahaan berkembang lebih besar lagi dan memiliki kemajuan dan pertumbuhan
ekonomi yang konstan.
Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh
motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Kartika Plasindo Pratama
Medan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan teori
motivasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan.
Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan penulis adalah metode
analisa kuantitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data
primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara,
observasi dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada karyawan. Populasi perusahaan ini
berjumlah 52 karyawan dan sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini
berjumlah 52 juga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus sampling dengan
mengambil sejumlah populasi sebagai sampel untuk diuji menggunakan SPSS.
Dari hasil Koefisien Determinasi, dapat diperoleh nilai R2 sebesar 0,522
atau 52,2%. Hal ini menandakan kinerja pegawai 52,2% dijelaskan oleh motivasi
dan sisanya 47,8% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak termasuk dalam
penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t, dapat diperoleh nilai 0,000 dimana angka ini
dibawah 0,05. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis “Motivasi Kerja berpengaruh terhadap
kinerja karyawan pada PT Kartika Plastindo Pratama Medan” diterima.
