Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari pengaruh penggunaaan soal-soal bertipe HOTS terhadap penguasaan konsep dan keaktifan peserta didik kelas IX SMP Global Prestasi Bekasi pada materi Kemagnetan semasa Belajar dari Rumah (BDR). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experiment dengan jenis rancangan Pretest-Posttest Only Control Group Design yang melibatkan variabel terikat penguasaan konsep dan keaktifan, serta variabel bebasnya adalah penggunaan soal-soal bertipe HOTS. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 48 peserta didik yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen terdiri dari 24 peserta didik dan kelompok control yang terdiri dari 24 peserta didik. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan berupa tes tertulis (pretest dan posttest) untuk penguasaan konsep dan lembar observasi dan kuesioner untuk keaktifan. Data penguasaan konsep dan keaktifan diuji dengan menggunakan Multivariate Analysis of Variance test (MANOVA) dan Independent T-test dengan taraf signifikan 5% (α = 0,005). Hasil analisis diperoleh untuk penguasaan konsep diperoleh nilai signifikan sebesar 0,044 dan keaktifan sebesar 0,031 dimana kedua hasil tersebut dibawah taraf signifikan 5%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan soal-soal bertipe HOTS mempunyai pengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep dan keaktifan, tetapi tidak terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep dan keaktifan secara simultan hal ini ditunjukkan dari nilai signifikan yang diperoleh sebesar 0,074 pada item kelompok pada baris Hotelling’s Trace, jika dibandingkan dengan nilai taraf signifikan 0,05./This study aimed to ascertain the effect of using HOTS-type questions on the concepts mastery and activeness of students in grade IX at Global Prestasi Junior High School Bekasi on the magnetism material during the Home Learning Activity Program (HLAP). The design employed in this research was a Quasi Experiment with a pretest-posttest only control group design that involved the dependent variables were concepts mastery and activeness, the independent variable was the use of HOTS type questions. The research subjects were forty-eight students divided into two groups, consisting of 24 students in each group. The data collection instruments used were written tests (pretest and posttest) for the concepts mastery, observation sheets, and questionnaires for activeness. The data on the concepts mastery and activeness tested using the Multivariate Analysis of Variance test (MANOVA) and the Independent T-test with a significant level of 5% (α = 0.005). The result of the analysis showed that the significant value of the concepts mastery was 0.044, whilst the significant value of activeness was 0.031. It also indicated that the two results were below the significant level of 5%, which means using HOTS- type questions affect the concepts mastery and activeness. On the other hand, there were not simultaneous differences in the concepts mastery and activeness due to a significant value of 0.074 in the group items on the Hotelling's Trace line greater than the significant level value of 0.05.
