Abstract
The efforts to instill lifelong, independent learning and collaboration within
education is the primary goal of International School teaching and learning. This
constructive-based learning has not been fully implemented in Year 12 Drama
scriptwriting activities. The students are not ready to study productively and to
work collaboratively in producing creative drama scripts. This encouraged the
teacher to find an alternative solution teaching strategy, which is a Productive and
Creative Learning Model. The purpose is to carry out actions to improve Year 12
students’ motivation, creative-thinking skills and collaborative work. Resources of
data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation study and the
students final results of the play scripts. The data was analyzed using the qualitative
descriptive method. The analysis showed: 1) the learning model achieved the
purpose of this study, by means of careful implementation of the CPL strategies. 2)
the student's motivation and creative-thinking skills showed improvements in
Cycles I and II, but it was more likely to decrease in Cycle III. This is due to fatigue
and tediousness in completing the steps of CPLcontinually. 3) In Cycle III, changes
in the teaching strategy to boost students collaborative skills impacted the
improvement in this area. 4) The obstacles encountered during the implementation
included the time management issue and limited outdoor teaching resources. The
results show that students developed independently in writing a Drama script
through a consistent and refined use of collaborative and independent learning
methods, and it is reflected in the implementation of Creative and Productive
Learning Model. / Upaya untuk menerapkan pendidikan sepanjang hayat, mandiri dan bersifat
kolaboratif merupakan tujuan dari pembelajaran Sekolah berstatus Internasional.
Akan tetapi, pokok pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivisme ini belum sepenuhnya
tampak pada siswa kelas XII dalam kegiatan menulis naskah drama berbahasa
Inggris. Kesiapan siswa untuk produktif dan mampu bekerja secara kolaboratif
dalam menulis naskah drama yang kreatif belum tercapai. Hal ini mendorong guru
untuk mencari alternatif solusi, yaitu Model Pembelajaran Kreatif Produktif (PKP).
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah guru melakukan tindakan perbaikan untuk
meningkatkan motivasi belajar, keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan bekerja sama
dalam kegiatan menulis naskah drama Bahasa Inggris kelas XII di Sekolah Global
Jaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan hasil
akhir naskah drama siswa dan semuanya dianalisis secara kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan: 1) model PKP dapat bekerja dengan baik karena langkahlangkah PKP yang dijalankan dengan hati-hati. 2) motivasi belajar dan
keterampilan berpikir kreatif mengalami peningkatan pada Siklus I dan II, tetapi
cenderung menurun pada Siklus III. Hal ini disebabkan faktor kejenuhan karena
jadwal penelitian yang sangat padat dan berulang. 3) Dalam Siklus III, perubahan
strategi mengajar untuk lebih meningkatkan keterampilan bekerja sama berdampak
baik. 4) Hambatan selama pelaksanaan termasuk isu waktu penelitian dan
terbatasnya ketersediaan sumber belajar di luar lingkungan kelas. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan dalam menulis naskah drama yang kreatif dapat
dikembangkan melalui penggunaan metode pengajaran aktif dan kolaboratif secara
konsisten melalui penerapan model PKP.
