Abstract

Metode pembelajaran merupakan aspek penting bagi keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Pada Program Pengalaman Lapangan yang penulis lakukan, penulis menemukan kurangnya keterlibatan siswa kelas V dalam proses pembelajaran.. Oleh sebab itu, penulis memilih metode discovery learning (DL) sebagai metode pembelajaran yang tepat untuk digunakan karena metode DL sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa yang berbeda-beda terutama bagi siswa SD di kelas V. Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah memaparkan penerapan metode discovery learning untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa pada pelajaran agama Kristen di Sekolah Dasar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode DL terbukti dapat melibatkan siswa kelas V melalui penerapan langkah-langkahnya, terutama pada bagian identifikasi masalah. Kesimpulannya adalah metode DL dapat digunakan pada berbagai jenjang dan berbagai tipe konten. Hal ini dikarenakan metode DL dapat menyesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik termasuk gaya belajar peserta didik yang berbeda-beda. Saran untuk guru, yaitu agar dapat membagi waktu sebaik mungkin saat menerapkan langkah-langkah metode DL, karena pada bagian identifikasi masalah, guru memerlukan waktu yang lebih lama. Berikutnya, Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya adalah meneliti metode lainnya yang dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa selama pembelajaran daring./ The learning method is an important aspect for the success of the learning process. In the Field Experience Program that the author did, the author found the lack of involvement of class V students in the learning process. Therefore, the authors chose the discovery learning (DL) method as the right learning method to use because the DL method was in accordance with the characteristics of different students. especially for elementary school students in grade V. The purpose of writing this final project is to describe the application of discovery learning methods to increase student involvement in Christian religious lessons in elementary schools. The results of this study indicate that the DL method is proven to be able to involve fifth grade students through the application of the steps, especially in the problem identification section. The conclusion is that the DL method can be used at various levels and various types of content. This is because the DL method can adapt to the characteristics of students, including the different learning styles of students. Suggestions for teachers, namely to be able to divide the time as well as possible when applying the steps of the DL method, because in the problem identification section, the teacher takes longer. Next, suggestions for further researchers are to examine other methods that can increase student engagement during online learning.
