Abstract

Employees has important role in defining the quality of organization. Therefore, the main reason of doing the performance assessment is maintaining, even improving the quality of organisasion. Transformational leadership and emotional intelligence of the principal have important roles in developing employees’ motivation that lead to the increasing of emplyoees’ job performance. The goal of this research is to know the positive effect of transformational leadership, the principal’s emotional intelligence, and employees’ motivation to employees’ job performance. The research itself uses quantitative approach with PATH Analysis to find out the coefficient effect of each of the variables. Survey method using questionnaire is used in order to collect the data. The questionnaires were given to 75 employees in XYZ School as the whole population. The result from the research stated that emotional intelligence of the principal have a positive effect to teachers’ motivation and job performance in XYZ School. Whereas, transformational leadership of the principal has no effect to employees’ job performance in XYZ School. / Kinerja karyawan memegang peranan penting dalam menentukan kualitas sebuah organisasi. Oleh sebab itu, alasan utama dilakukannya penilaian kinerja karyawan adalah untuk mempertahankan, bahkan meningkatkan kualitas organisasi. Kepemimpinan transformasional dan kecerdasan emosional kepala sekolah memegang peranan penting di dalam membangun motivasi kerja karyawan sehingga dapat memiliki pengaruh pada kinerja karyawan di sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif kepemimpinan transformasional, kecerdasan emosional kepala sekolah, dan motivasi kerja karyawan terhadap kinerja para karyawan. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis jalur untuk mengetahui pengaruh koefisien dari masing-masing variabel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei melalui kuesioner. Penelitian diuji dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 75 karyawan yang ada di Sekolah XYZ. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kecerdasan emosional kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja karyawan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan di Sekolah XYZ. Sedangkan kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan.
