Abstract

Latar Belakang: Sejak dinyatakannya Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) sebagai pandemi pada 11 Maret 2020 yang lalu oleh World Health Organization (WHO) semua kegiatan yang memerlukan kontak langsung dimulai dari bekerja hingga kegiatan belajar-mengajar pun diberhentikan untuk sementara demi meminimalisir penularan; kegiatan ini pun dinamakan sistem Work from Home (WFH) dan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ). Manusia, seperti primata lainnya, adalah makhluk sosial yang intens; otak serta pikiran mereka dibentuk dan biasanya berfungsi dalam interaksi berkelanjutan dengan orang lain. Selain itu, semua hewan berbagi motivasi untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dasar mereka seperti makanan, air, berhubungan seksual dan juga berinteraksi sosial. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara interaksi sosial dengan motivasi seseorang, sehingga dengan adanya keterbatasan sosial pada masa pandemi ini dan pemberlakuan dari sistem WFH dan PJJ, timbul beberapa masalah. Bersamaan dengan dibukanya kembali kesempatan untuk mahasiswa belajar secara langsung melalui program Pertemuan Tatap Muka Terbatas (PTMT) pada Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan, peneliti ingin melihat ada tidaknya hubungan antara interaksi sosial secara langsung dengan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa praklinik FK UPH angkatan 2019. Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat hubungan interaksi sosial secara langsung dengan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan angkatan 2019 selama masa Pembelajaran Tatap Muka Terbatas (PTMT) Hipotesis: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara interaksi sosial secara langsung dengan motivasi belajar sebagai H0 dan terdapat hubungan antara interaksi sosial secara langsung dengan motivasi belajar sebagai Ha Metode Penelitian: Cross Sectional Hasil: Dari hasil Analisa Fisher’s Exact Tests ditemukan bahwa interaksi sosial secara langsung tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar (p=1.000), usia (p=0.932), jenis kelamin (p=0.521) begitu juga dengan motivasi belajar terhadapt usia (p=0.378) dan jenis kelamin (p=1.000) Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara interaksi sosial secara langsung dengan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa praklinik FK UPH Angkatan 2019. Kata Kunci: Interaksi sosial, motivasi belajar, Covid-19, mahasiswa FK UPH / Background: Since the declaration of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as a pandemic on March 11, 2020, by the World Health Organization (WHO), all activities that require direct contact starting from work to teaching and learning activities have been suspended to minimize transmission; This activity is also called the Work from Home (WFH) system and the distance learning system (PJJ). Humans, like other primates, are intensely social creatures; Their brains and minds are formed and usually function in continuous interaction with other people. In addition, all animals share the motivation to be able to fulfill their basic needs such as food, water, sexual intercourse, and social interaction. Several studies have shown that there is a relationship between social interaction and one's motivation, so that with the social limitations during this pandemic and the implementation of the WFH and PJJ systems, several problems arise. Along with the reopening of opportunities for students to learn directly through the Limited Face-to-face Meeting (PTMT) program at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pelita Harapan, the researchers wanted to see whether there is a relationship between direct social interaction and learning motivation in the 2019 UPH FK preclinical students. Aim: This study aims to see the correlation between destitute direct social interaction with motivation to learn of the students at the Faculty of Medicine of Pelita Harapan University batch 2019 during a limited face-to-face learning period Hypothesis: There are no correlation between direct social interaction and motivation to learn as H0 and there is correlation between direct social interaction and motivation to learn as Ha Methods: Cross Sectional Results: From the results of the Fisher’s Exat Tests analysis, it was found that direct social interaction did not have a significant relationship to learning motivation (p=1,000), age (p=0.932), gender (p=0.521) as well as learning motivation to age (p=0.378) and gender (p=1,000) Conclusion: There is no relationship between direct social interaction with motivation to learn in FK UPH’s preclinical students’ batch 2019.
