Abstract

Keaktifan siswa selama pembelajaran merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan dari kegiatan pembelajaran. Namun, berdasarkan hasil observasi pada salah satu sekolah Swasta Kristen di Tangerang ditemukan bahwa tingkat keaktifan siswa kelas IX masih terbilang rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari fakta yang terjadi bahwa siswa kurang bersemangat, kurang berinisiatif menjawab, dan bertanya serta cenderung pasif. Terdapat dua faktor penyebab rendahnya keaktifan siswa, yaitu karena rendahnya rasa ingin tahu siswa serta pembelajaran yang dibawakan guru cenderung monoton dan membosankan. Melalui permasalahan tersebut, maka penulis menggunakan media pembelajaran audiovisual untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Seorang guru dituntut untuk kreatif dan inovatif dalam merancang media pembelajaran agar membangun rasa ingin tahu sehingga siswa terdorong untuk aktif di dalam kelas. Tujuan dari penulisan proyek akhir ini adalah untuk memaparkan penggunaan media pembelajaran audiovisual dalam mengupayakan keaktifan siswa selama pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan proyek akhir ini sendiri, yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulan dari proyek akhir ini, yaitu bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran audiovisual dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa selama pembelajaran. Keberhasilan dari penggunaan media ini dapat dilihat dari indikator keaktifan siswa yang menunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan keaktifan. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya ialah agar melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk melihat signifikansi dari peningkatan keaktifan siswa. / Based on the literature review that has been done by the author, it was found that there was a phenomenon of a decline in student character, especially in the midst of the current digital era. The purpose of writing this final project is to describe the role of Christian teachers in implementing character education in the digital era using the literature review method. In writing this final project, two roles of the teacher are described, namely, as a guide who plays a role in guiding and directing students to live a Christ-centered life and as an agent of reconciliation who plays a role in bringing students to a renewal of life that increasingly reflects divine character. Both of these roles can work when a Christian teacher has been born again in Christ. The life of Christ is an example for Christian teachers in carrying out character education in the digital era so that the character of Christ can be reflected in students. Thus, Christian teachers carry out character education that makes students grow into Christ-like characters amid the challenges of the current digital era. Further researchers are advised to examine the teacher's efforts in implementing the cultivation of character values in students during learning by using digital-based learning media.
