Abstract
Kemampuan literasi matematika (KLM) adalah kemampuan yang penting karena membentuk penalaran dan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di Indonesia. Akan tetapi, peringkat KLM Indonesia sangat rendah. Padahal, harapannya pendidikan Kristen melalui guru mampu mengembangkan potensi dari Tuhan sehingga memilih solusi yang tepat. Kenyataannya, guru masih melakukan pendekatan formalisme. Paper ini bertujuan memaparkan penerapan pendekatan PMRI terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Indikator-indikator KLM adalah siswa dapat memahami konsep, menggunakan penalaran, menghubungkan kemampuan matematis, mengkomunikasikan bahasa matematis, dan menginterpretasikan kemampuan matematis. Langkah-langkah dalam PMRI terdiri dari persiapan, pembukaan, proses pembelajaran, dan penutup. Dalam penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya, pendekatan PMRI terbukti dalam meningkatkan KLM siswa. Penulis menguji coba PMRI dengan data pretest dan postest pada satu kali pertemuan dengan sampel sebanyak 11 siswa pada salah satu SMA di kabupaten Bekasi. Penulis melatih KLM dalam penerapan PMRI pada setiap langkahnya, contohnya melatih kemampuan bernalar pada tahap proses pembelajaran dalam hal mengerjakan worksheet berisi soal matematis. Hasilnya, penerapan PMRI terbukti dalam melatih KLM siswa dari 44,19% menjadi 54,45% menjadi kriteria cukup. Empat dari lima indikator juga meningkat. Dengan demikian, PMRI terbukti melatih KLM. Saran kedepannya guru dapat meningkatkan frekuensi penerapan, menggunakan alat peraga yang lebih rill, dan mengontrol diskusi./Mathematical literacy skills (MLS) is essential because it shapes reasoning and improves the quality of human resources. MLS Indonesia's rating is at a low level. It is hoped that Christian education through teachers can develop the potential of God so that they choose the right solution. This paper describes the PMRI approach's application to students' MLS. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. MLS indicators are that students can understand concepts, use reasoning, connect mathematical abilities, communicate the mathematical language, and interpret mathematical abilities. The steps in PMRI consist of preparation, opening, learning process, and closing. Previous studies showed that the PMRI approach increased students' MLS. The author tested PMRI with pretest and posttest data at one meeting with a sample of 11 students in a school in the Bekasi district. The author trains MLS in the application of PMRI at every step. As a result, the implementation of PMRI was proven in training students' MLS from 44,19% to 54.45% as a sufficient criterion. Four of the five indicators also improved. Thus, PMRI has been proven to train MLS. Suggestions in the future teachers can increase the frequency of application, use more real teaching aids, and control the discussion.
