Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi mesin yang semakin berkembang membuat perusahaan
harus bisa mengadopsi perkembangan tersebut. Maka dari itu, teknologi mesin
dibutuhkan untuk mengembangkan hasil produksi pada pabrik. Perkembangan-perkembangan dilakukan untuk mengurangi biaya produksi perusahaan dan
mempercepat waktu produksi. Akibat dari keterlambatan dalam mengadopsi
perkembangan teknologi, perusahaan harus menggunakan banyak tenaga kerja.
Dengan bertambahnya tenaga kerja perusahaan akan mengeluarkan biaya yang
terus bertambah setiap tahunnya. Maka, dibutuhkan alat yang bisa menggantikan
tenaga kerja agar perusahaan bisa mengurangi biaya produksi dan juga mengurangi
waktu produksi yang diakibatkan ketidakstabilan kinerja manusia. Salah satu alat
yang membantu perkembangan dalam proses produksi adalah conveyor belt.
Conveyor belt dapat membantu perusahaan untuk memindahkan barang-barang
baik hasil produksi maupun bahan mentah ke stasiun yang diinginkan. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis usulan perbaikan sistem produksi sebagai upaya
mengurangi biaya produksi. Usulan sistem produksi berada pada bagian transfer
produk ke mesin pembungkus menggunakan conveyor belt yang memiliki sistem
dengan menggunakan PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Setelah sekiranya
didapatkan data-data untuk solusi dari masalah tersebut, data-data yang sudah
didapatkan dari hasil observasi akan disimulasikan melalui aplikasi simulasi dan
ditentukan perubahan waktu yang terjadi ketika menggunakan orang dan
menggunakan conveyor belt. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ada dua hasil dari
analisis yang dilakukan. Pertama, perubahan biaya produksi dengan sistem
produksi yang baru menghasilkan data yang memiliki perbedaan biaya yang cukup
signifikan biaya sebelum menggunakan conveyor belt menjadi sekitar Rp 1,65
miliar, setelah menggunakan sistem conveyor menjadi sekitar 480 juta. Kedua,
berdasarkan simulasi flexsim, sebelum menggunakan conveyor belt membutuhkan
waktu sebesar 145,38 detik. Sedangkan jika menggunakan conveyor belt menjadi
105,40 detik. / The development of machine technology that is increasingly developing makes
companies must be able to adopt these developments. Therefore, machine
technology is needed to develop production results in factories. Developments are
made to reduce the company's production costs and speed up production time. As
a result of the delay in adopting technological developments, the company must use
a lot of labor. With the increase in labor, the company will incur costs that continue
to increase every year. So, a tool is needed that can replace labor so that companies
can reduce production costs and also reduce production time due to instability in
human performance. One tool that helps development in the production process is
the conveyor belt. Conveyor belts can help companies to move goods both
production products and raw materials to the desired station. This study aims to
analyze proposed improvements to the production system as an effort to reduce
production costs. The proposed production system is in the product transfer section
to the wrapping machine using a conveyor belt which has a system using a PLC
(Programmable Logic Controller). After obtaining data for the solution of the
problem, the data that has been obtained from the observation results will be
simulated through a simulation application and determined the time changes that
occur when using people and using conveyor belts. Based on the results of the
research, there are two results from the analysis conducted. First, the change in
production costs with the new production system produces data that has a
significant cost difference. The cost before using the conveyor belt is around Rp
1.65 billion, after using the conveyor system it is around 480 million. Second, based
on flexsim simulation, before using a conveyor belt it takes 145.38 seconds.
Meanwhile, when using a conveyor belt it becomes 105.40 seconds.
