Abstract

Peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa merupakan hal penting yang menjadi tujuan pendidikan. Pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi, siswa seharusnya mampu untuk mencapai hasil belajar kognitif sesuai standar Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang telah ditetapkan di sekolah. Adapun standar penilaian yang dimaksud adalah pencapaian KKM mata pelajaran Ekonomi sebesar 68. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan hasil tes siswa, peneliti menemukan bahwa terdapat masalah terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi di mana sebagian besar siswa tidak mencapai standar penilaian berupa KKM. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan metode Numbered Heads Together untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dan menjelaskan langkah-langkah metode Numbered Heads Together dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Pelton yang dilakukan dalam dua penerapan yakni pada tanggal 22 Oktober – 31 Oktober 2018 dengan melibatkan 11 siswa. Sumber data yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar observasi mentor, lembar umpan balik mentor, lembar tes tertulis, RPP, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari sumber data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas XI IPS Sekolah Kampung Harapan pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi dengan menerapkan langkah-langkah metode Numbered Heads Together, yakni pembentukan kelompok, penjelasan materi secara garis besar, penyelesaian LKS oleh kelompok, pemanggilan nomor, tanggapan dari kelompok lain, dan evaluasi./ Students‟ cognitive achievement in Economics is an important thing that becomes purpose of education. In Economics, students supposed to be able to reach cognitive achievement based on passing score set by the school. Passing score of Economics at this school is 68. Based on the results of observations and student test, the researcher found that there were problems with students' cognitive achievement in Economics where most of the students did not achieve the passing score. Therefore, the researcher decided to implement Numbered Heads Together method to improve students' cognitive acievement and explain the steps of the Numbered Heads Together method that can improve students' cognitive ahievement. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on Pelton model which was conducted in two implementations from October 22-31, 2018 with 11 students as research subjects. The data sources used in collecting data were mentor observation sheets, mentor feedback sheets, written test sheets, lesson plans, and researchers' reflection journals. Based on the analysis on all the data sources, it showed that the implementation of Numbered Heads Together method can improve grade XI IPS students‟ cognitive achievement at Kampung Harapan School on Economics by implementing the steps of Numbered Heads Together method, which are group division, outline material explanation, completion of LKS by groups, callings numbers, responses from other groups, and evaluations
