Abstract
Salah satu faktor yang sering menjadi fokus dalam bidang pendidikan
adalah minat belajar, yang merupakan salah satu dari faktor internal yang
mempengaruhi seseorang dalam proses belajar. Minat belajar yang tinggi pada
dasarnya akan mempengaruhi seseorang dalam proses belajarnya sekaligus pada
hasil yang akan diperoleh. Pemahaman konsep merupakan hasil belajar ranah
kognitif yang sangat penting untuk dikuasai oleh siswa. Penelitian ini memiliki
tujuan yaitu (1) untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara minat belajar
dengan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA ABC pada mata pelajaran
biologi, dan (2) untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan antara minat belajar
dengan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA ABC pada mata pelajaran
biologi.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian
kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan korelasi sederhana. Dua variabel
yang digunakan adalah minat belajar dan pemahaman konsep. Teknik sampel
yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh dengan jumlah sampel 41 orang siswa.
Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner untuk minat belajar dan tes untuk
pemahaman konsep. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis
deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah koefisien korelasi Spearman Rank
sebesar 0,240 dengan arah hubungan positif (+), yang berarti bahwa terdapat
hubungan antara minat belajar dengan pemahaman konsep. Angka koefisien
tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara minat belajar dengan pemahaman
konsep termasuk kategori rendah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat
hubungan antara minat belajar dengan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI IPA di
SMA ABC pada mata pelajaran biologi sebesar 0,240. / One of the factors that often becomes the focus in the field of education is
interest in learning, which is one of the internal factors that affect a person in the
learning process. High learning interest will basically affect a person in their
learning process while at the results to be obtained. Conceptual understanding is
the result of cognitive learning that very important to be mastered by students.
The purpose of this research are (1) to know whether there is a relationship
between the interest in learning with conceptual understanding of grade XI
Science at SMA ABC on the subject of biology, and (2) to know how much the
relationship between the interest in learning with conceptual understanding of
grade XI Science at SMA ABC on the subject of biology.
The method used in this research is quantitative research method using a the
simple correlation approach. Two variables used are interest in learning and
conceptual understanding. The sampling technique used is saturation sampling
with the number of samples 41 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire
for interest in learning and test for conceptual understanding. The data analysis
technique used is descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research are
Spearman Rank correlation coefficient of 0.240 with the direction of the positive
(+), which means that there is a relationship between the interest in learning with
conceptual understanding. The number of coefficient shows that the correlation
coefficient between the interest in learning with conceptual understanding of
including the low category. The conclusion from this research is there is a
relationship between the interest in learning with conceptual understanding of
grade XI Science at SMA ABC on the subject of biology at 0,240.
