Abstract
The ideal condition in the classroom, students were able to learn by
receiving and using their abilities through the learning process. In fact what
happening in the classroom that there was not interaction in the group discussion,
such as give opinions, ask each other, and help each other. Therefore, the aims of
this research counducted are: a.) to determine whether the implementation of NHT
method can increase teamwork skill, b.) to determine how the implementation of
NHT method can increase teamwork skill.
The research methodology used Classroom Action Research (CAR) that is
applied in two cycles toward 29 students of grade 7 SMPS XYZ North Gunung
Sitoli who were as the research subject. Data collection collected by using some
instruments which are mentor’s observation sheet, mentor’s feedback sheet, and
researcher’s reflection journal.
The result of the research showed the indicators of cooperative skill had
reached the specified criteria which increased from 76% to 90% students listened
the opinion of the group member, 90% to 90% students asked of the group
member, 90% to 93% students participated in solving problem, 79% to 97%
students helped the other member in the group, and 59% to 86% students gave
their opinion in the group discussion. Based on the research, the researcher
concluded that the teamwork skill of the student increased through implementing
NHT method./ Idealnya di dalam kelas siswa mampu belajar untuk menerima dan
menggunakan kemampuan mereka dalam hubungannya dengan proses
pembelajaran yang berlangsung di dalam kelas. Fakta yang terjadi di dalam kelas
ketika diskusi kelompok tidak ada interaksi seperti saling memberikan pendapat,
saling bertanya, dan saling membantu. Oleh karena itu tujuan dilakukannya
penelitian ini antara lain: a) untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan metode NHT
dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kerja sama, b) untuk mengetahui bagaimana
penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan
keterampilan kerja sama.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas
(PTK) yang dilaksananakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian siswa
kelas VII SMPS XYZ Gunungsitoli Utara dengan jumlah siswa 29 orang.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan beberapa instrumen yaitu
lembar observasi mentor, lembar observasi peneliti, lembar angket siswa. Teknik
analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan indikator keterampilan kerja sama telah
mencapai kriteria yang ditentukan yaitu 76% menjadi 90% siswa mendengarkan
pendapat anggota kelompok, 90% tetap 90% siswa bertanya kepada anggota
kelompok, 79% menjadi 93% siswa berpartisipasi dalam mengerjakan soal, 93%
menjadi 97% siswa membantu teman kelompok, dan 59% menjadi 86% siswa
memberikan pendapat saat berdiskusi kelompok. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat
disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan kerja sama siswa dapat meningkat melalui
penerapan metode NHT.
