Abstract

Minat belajar adalah bagian penting yang menunjang pembelajaran siswa karena berkaitan dengan ketertarikan, perhatian, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam kelas. Oleh sebab itu, minat belajar sangat mendukung keberhasilan dari proses pembelajaran. Hasil observasi pada kelas XI di salah satu sekolah Kristen Jakarta menunjukkan kurangnya ketertarikan, perhatian, dan keterlibatan siswa sehingga dapat dikatakan adanya permasalahan minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran. Guru menjadi pendorong bagi siswa menemukan solusi terhadap masalah minat belajar. Upaya guru mendorong siswa mengembangkan minat belajarnya adalah penerapan metode Team Quiz. Team Quiz merupakan pembelajaran dengan permainan kompetitif untuk menjawab soal kuis sehingga dapat mengembangkan minat belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan metode pembelajaran Team Quiz sebagai upaya mengembangkan minat belajar siswa SMA kelas XI. Metode penulisan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Allah memberikan hikmat bagi guru Kristen untuk menjalankan perannya sebagai penuntun. Sebagai penuntun, Guru Kristen mengarahkan siswa pada kesimpulan yaitu pengenalan akan Allah melalui materi pembelajaran. Dalam penerapannya, tahapan metode Team Quiz dapat mengembangkan minat siswa yang ditandai dengan adanya indikator yang dapat diamati seperti ketertarikan, perhatian, dan keterlibatan siswa. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah guru perlu menerapkan rules dan procedures terkait pelaksanaan Team Quiz untuk mengatasi masalah siswa yang kurang tertib selama pembelajaran./ Student’s interest is an important part that supports learning process because it is related to interest, attention, and involvement in classroom. Therefore, interest in learning is very supportive of the success of the learning process. The results of observations in class XI in one of the Jakarta Christian schools showed a lack of interest, attention, and involvement so it can be said that there are problems of student’s interest. Teacher is a driver for students in finding solutions to interest in learning. As an effort the teacher encourages students to develop their learning interest is to apply the Team Quiz method. Team Quiz is a learning that involves students in competitive games to answer quiz questions so that they can develop student learning interest. The purpose of this writing is to analyze the application of Team Quiz learning methods as an effort to develop the interest of learning high school students in class XI. The writing method used is descriptive qualitative. God gives wisdom to Christian teachers to carry out his role as guidance. The Christian teacher is likened to a shepherd who will not let his heels, but continue to guide them. In its application, the stages of the Team Quiz method can develop student interest which is marked by the observed indicators such as student interest, attention, and involvement. Suggestions that can be given are that the teacher needs to apply rules and procedures related to the implementation of the quiz team to overcome the problems of students who are less orderly during learning.
