Abstract
Berpikir kritis merupakan suatu kemampuan berpikir untuk menganalisis permasalahan hingga dapat mengambil kesimpulan yang tepat. Siswa perlu memiliki kemampuan ini untuk membantu mereka dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dan menghadapi permasalahan yang terjadi di sekitar. Kenyataannya siswa kelas IV-B masih belum dapat memenuhi indikator berpikir kritis, seperti: belum bisa menjawab pertanyaan dengan tepat, belum bisa memikirkan dan mengidentifikasi pertanyaan dengan baik, serta masih meniru jawaban yang telah dieja guru. Oleh karena itu, guru Kristen perlu memberikan siswa kesempatan untuk berpikir kritis, salah satunya dengan menggunakan metode tanya jawab. Langkah-langkah metode tanya jawab yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: menentukan tujuan pembelajaran, mendistribusikan materi, menggali pemahaman siswa dengan pertanyaan, meminta penjelasan siswa atas jawabannya, dan membuat kesimpulan. Tujuan penulisan paper ini untuk memaparkan apakah penerapan metode tanya jawab dapat menolong siswa kelas IV-B dapat berpikir kritis. peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dan kesimpulan penulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode tanya jawab yang dilakukan peneliti belum mampu menolong kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini terjadi karena beberapa faktor, yakni: pertanyaan yang diberikan kepada siswa bias dan pemahaman materi yang dimiliki oleh siswa masih belum merata. Saran bagi peneliti selanjutnya adalah membuat pertanyaan analitik dengan jelas dan memodifikasi pertanyaan sehingga seluruh siswa dapat memahami./ Critical thinking is an ability to analyze problems in order to draw correct conclusions. Students need this particular ability in learning and dealing with problems around them. However, grade IV-B students still cannot fulfill critical thinking indicators, such as: not being able to answer questions correctly, not being able to think and identify questions well, and imitating the answers that teacher has spelled out. Therefore, Christian teachers need to provide opportunities for exercising critical thinking, such as by using the question-and-answer method. The steps of this method are determining learning objectives, distributing material, exploring students' understanding with questions, asking students for explanations, and making conclusions. The purpose is to describe whether the application of the question-and-answer method can help grade IV-B students to think critically. Researcher used descriptive qualitative research methods. The results and conclusions of this writing indicate that the question-and-answer method used by researcher has not been able to help students practice critical thinking skills due to several factors: the questions given to students are too biased and students

understanding of the material is still uneven. The researcher advises is to create clear analytical questions and deliver important materials repeatedly.
