Abstract
Motivasi belajar siswa merupakan salah satu bagian penting yang mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran dalam kelas. Secara fakta banyak siswa yang sering mengalami kegagalan dalam belajar. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa tidak memiliki motivasi yang menstimulus dirinya untuk belajar dengan baik dan bertanggung jawab. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran guru Kristen sebagai penuntun dalam menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa sebagai murid Kristus. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kajian literatur. Dari hasil literatur diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peran guru Kristen sebagai penuntun sangat besar terhadap tumbuhnya motivasi belajar siswa di kelas. Guru sebagai penuntun memberikan motivasi kepada siswa dalam mengerjakan tanggung jawab sebagai pelajar. Filsafat eksistensialisme menunjukkan bahwa dengan kelebihan dan keunikan yang berbeda setiap siswa memiliki kebebasan dalam memilih. Seseorang bebas mengambil keputusan dan mengembangkan kelebihan dalam bidang yang diminati namun bertanggung jawab dalam melakukannya. Guru sebagai penuntun mengambil peran dalam hal ini untuk menuntun siswa dalam membuat keputusan yang tidak berdasarkan pemahaman kebenaran sendiri. Siswa harus mampu melihat bahwa adanya eksistensi Tuhan yang Maha Tinggi dan keakuratan dari wahyu Allah di Alkitab lebih berotoritas dalam kehidupan manusia. Tujuan akhir dari peran guru dalam menuntun yaitu siswa dapat hidup menggunakan potensi dirinya dengan baik dan menjadi berkat bagi orang lain dengan penuh tanggung jawab. / Student learning motivation is one of the important parts that support successful learning in the classroom. In fact, many students often experience failure in learning. This is because students do not have motivation that stimulates them to learn well and responsibly. Based on these problems, this study aims to examine the role of Christian teachers as guides in fostering student learning motivation as disciples of Christ. This research method uses a literature review. From the results of the literature, it is concluded that the role of Christian teachers as a guide is very large for the growth of student learning motivation in the classroom. The teacher as a guide provides motivation to students in carrying out responsibilities as students. The philosophy of existentialism shows that with different advantages and uniqueness each student has freedom in choice. A person is free to make decisions and develop advantages in the field of interest but responsible in doing so. The 2-guiding teacher takes a role in this to guide students in making decisions that are not based on understanding the truth on their own. Students must be able to see that the existence of a Supreme God and the accuracy of God's revelation in the Bible are more authoritative in human life. The ultimate goal of the teacher's role in guiding is that students can live using their potential well and be a blessing to others with full responsibility.
