Abstract

Keaktifan belajar merupakan salah satu hal yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran sebagai indikasi dari hasil proses pembelajaran dan sebagai faktor pendorong untuk mengoptimalkan potensi siswa. Keaktifan merupakan salah satu karakter yang harus terus didorong di dalam pendidikan Kristen sebagai mana Allah menghendaki manusia untuk aktif sebagai respons akan mandat budaya. Ditemukan kurangnya keaktifan belajar siswa pada saat pembelajaran dilihat dari hanya 11,7 % yang mengajukan pertanyaan pada forum pembelajaran, 17,6 % siswa yang menyampaikan pendapat atau ide untuk pemecahan masalah, 29, 4% yang tidak turut di dalam aktivitas pemecahan masalah melalui tugas yang diberikan. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat mendorong keaktifan belajar adalah model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Model pembelajaran Discovery Learning memberikan aktivitas penemuan yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Untuk itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memaparkan penerapan model Discovery Learning untuk mendorong keaktifan belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas XII IPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Melalui penerapan model Discovery Learning ini siswa yang terdorong untuk aktif di dalam pembelajaran yaitu 52,9% siswa mengajukan pertanyaan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar 41,2% siswa dapat menyampaikan pendapat untuk pemecahan masalah, 100% siswa turut dalam aktivitas pemecahan masalah melalui tugas yang diberikan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dapat mendorong keaktifan belajar siswa. Penelitian selanjutnnya dapat melakukan penerapan lebih dari satu kali dan dapat membuat variasi instrumen berupa angket atau wawancara supaya hasil yang didapatkan lebih valid. / Learning activeness is one of the most important things in learning as an indication of the results of the learning process and as a driving factor to optimise student potential. Activeness is one of the characters that must continue to be encouraged in Christian education as God requires humans to be active in response to the cultural mandate. It was found that the lack of student learning activeness during learning was seen from only 11.7% who asked questions in the learning forum, 17.6% of students who expressed opinions or ideas for problem solving, 29, 4% who did not participate in problem solving activities through the assignments given. One of the learning models that can encourage learning activeness is the Discovery Learning model. The Discovery Learning model provides discovery activities that actively involve students. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to explain the application of the Discovery Learning model to encourage student learning activeness in learning mathematics class XII IPA. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Through the application of the Discovery Learning model, students are encouraged to be active in learning, namely 52.9% of students ask questions in teaching and learning activities 41.2% of students can convey opinions for problem solving, 100% of students participate in problem solving activities through the tasks given. This shows that the Discovery Learning model can encourage student learning activeness. Further research can apply more than once and can make variations of instruments in the form of questionnaires or interviews so that the results obtained are more valid.
