Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi yang begitu pesat telah merambah
hampir semua segi kehidupan masyarakat. Terutama dalam bidang bisnis,
penerapan dan penguasaan teknologi menjadi salah satu faktor penting untuk
memperoleh keunggulan dalam persaingan pasar. Dengan otomasi, proses
pengolahan informasi akan lebih efektif dan efisien serta dapat memaksimalkan
penggunaan sumber daya, meningkatkan kinerja karyawan dan mempermudah
pengambilan keputusan.
Hotel Dwi Putra adalah sebuah hotel berskala medium yang terletak di jalan
Yos Soedarso kabupaten Ende, provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Dengan jumlah 48
kamar tidur, hotel ini merupakan salah satu hotel terbesar di kabupaten Ende.
Sayangnya, pada sistem yang berjalan sekarangpencatatan dan pemrosesan data
masih dilakukan secara manual dan belum terotomasi sehingga seringkali kurang
efektif dan efisien.
Solusi untuk mengatasi kurangnya efisiensi dan efektivitas tersebut adalah
dengan menyediakan aplikasi yang mampu memanajemen hotel dengan
mengotomasi sistem yang ada menjadi sistem baru menggunakan metode
sistemdevelopment life cycle yang berbasis teknologi dan konsep client server.
Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, pelayanan hotel akan lebih maksimal dengan
mengurangi pencatatan data yang kurang lengkap akibat kelalaian staf serta
memudahkan dalam pengelolaan data.
Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa
aplikasi dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dalam memanajemen hotel. Adapun fitur�fitur yang dimiliki aplikasi adalah : manajemen data user, manajemen data
kategori, manajemen data kamar, manajemen data musim, proses reservasi, proses
menerima tamu, proses layanan transaksi restoran, proses layanan transaksi
laundri, proses melepas tamu dan proses menampilkan laporan.
/ The rapid development of information and technology has been reaching
almost every aspects in our society nowadays. Especially in the area of business,
implementation and control over technology has been one of many main factors to
gain advantages facingthe market competition. With automation, the processing of
information should be more effective and efficient and alsocan maximize the uses
of resources, increasing staffs performance and facilitate the decision making
process.
Dwi Putra Hotel is a medium scale hotel which is located at in Ende district,
East Nusa Tenggara province. With 48 bedrooms, this hotel becomes one of the
biggest hotel in Ende district. Unfortunately, the current system is still working
manually and not automated thus frequently makes the hotel runs in less effective
and less efficient order.
The solution to overcome the problems is to provide an application which
can manage hotel through automating the current system to a whole new system
using development life cycle method, technology based with client server concept.
This application will improve hotel services and also decreasing uncomplete
record due to staffs negligance as well as easier data management.
Based on trial, application can fulfilled the needs to manage hotel. The
application features are : user data management, category data management, room
data management, season data management, reservation process, guest data
management, checkin process, checkout process, restaurant service process,
laundry service process and report viewing process.
