Abstract

Human resources are valued highly because they play a significant role in ensuring employee satisfaction and in enhancing business efficiency and performance. Additionally, it can give the company a distinct understanding of its competitive advantage and positively impact on overall organizational success. Employee motivation and job satisfaction are thought to be related to each other. The purpose of this study is to determine whether employee performance is influenced by motivation and job satisfaction. Employee performance is defined as the amount and quality of work an employee completes to complete the task for which they are responsible. Employee performance can affect the output of a company. Job satisfaction is when circumstances and working conditions meet an employee's needs, wants, and expectations, they feel relieved, happy, and passionate about their occupations. Motivation is a driving force that propels someone to act in order to reach desired results or goals. The study involves analyzing a sample of 56 employees utilizing quantitative and correlational research methods. Using IBM SPSS v25 application where the population size is 56 by using Total Population Sampling to examine the entire population that have a particular set of characteristics. Multiple Linear Regression Analysis is used in the research's data analysis methodology. The final research paper's F-test result indicates that employee performance at PT Garuda Steel Berjaya is influenced by job satisfaction and motivation. The F-test has a value of 0.000 < 0.05 based on the results. The results of the partial t-test indicate that employee performance is significantly influenced by job satisfaction. Additionally, motivation has a big impact on how well employees perform. According to the t-test results, motivation has a value significance of 0.000 < 0.05 and job satisfaction has a value significance of 0.005 < 0.05. But motivation has a greater impact on worker performance than job satisfaction. This research investigated the impact of job satisfaction and motivation on employee performance at PT Garuda Steel Berjaya. Findings confirmed significant influence of both factors on performance, with motivation having a slightly stronger effect. The company's performance struggles were linked to low job satisfaction and motivation, further evidenced by high turnover rates. Recommendations focus on improving these employee experiences through fostering work-life balance, training opportunities, and recognition programs, ultimately aiming to boost performance and competitiveness. Future studies could delve deeper by extending the research timeframe, comparing across industries, and incorporating cultural and qualitative aspects. / Sumber daya manusia dihargai tinggi karena mereka memainkan peran penting dalam menjamin kepuasan karyawan dan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan kinerja bisnis. Selain itu, hal ini dapat memberi perusahaan pemahaman yang jelas tentang keunggulan kompetitifnya dan berdampak positif terhadap keberhasilan organisasi secara keseluruhan. Motivasi karyawan dan kepuasan kerja diduga saling berhubungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi oleh motivasi dan kepuasan kerja. Kinerja pegawai diartikan sebagai jumlah dan kualitas pekerjaan yang diselesaikan seorang pegawai untuk menyelesaikan tugas yang menjadi tanggung jawabnya. Kinerja karyawan dapat mempengaruhi output suatu perusahaan. Kepuasan kerja adalah ketika keadaan dan kondisi kerja memenuhi kebutuhan, keinginan, dan harapan seorang karyawan, mereka merasa lega, bahagia, dan bersemangat terhadap pekerjaannya. Motivasi merupakan suatu kekuatan pendorong yang mendorong seseorang bertindak guna mencapai hasil atau tujuan yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini melibatkan analisis sampel sebanyak 56 karyawan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan korelasional. Menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS v25 dimana jumlah populasi adalah 56 dengan menggunakan Total Population Sampling untuk memeriksa seluruh populasi yang mempunyai sekumpulan karakteristik tertentu. Analisis Regresi Linier Berganda digunakan dalam metodologi analisis data penelitian. Hasil uji F makalah penelitian akhir menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan PT Garuda Steel Berjaya dipengaruhi oleh kepuasan kerja dan motivasi. Uji F mempunyai nilai 0,000 < 0,05 berdasarkan hasil. Hasil uji t parsial menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh kepuasan kerja. Selain itu, motivasi mempunyai dampak besar pada seberapa baik kinerja karyawan. Berdasarkan hasil uji t, motivasi mempunyai nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan kepuasan kerja mempunyai nilai signifikansi 0,005 < 0,05. Namun motivasi memiliki dampak yang lebih besar terhadap kinerja karyawan dibandingkan kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepuasan kerja dan motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Garuda Steel Berjaya. Temuan mengkonfirmasi pengaruh signifikan kedua faktor tersebut terhadap kinerja, dengan motivasi memiliki pengaruh yang sedikit lebih kuat. Permasalahan kinerja perusahaan terkait dengan rendahnya kepuasan dan motivasi kerja, yang juga dibuktikan dengan tingginya tingkat turnover. Rekomendasi berfokus pada peningkatan pengalaman karyawan melalui pengembangan keseimbangan kehidupan kerja, peluang pelatihan, dan program pengakuan, yang pada akhirnya bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan daya saing. Penelitian di masa depan dapat menggali lebih dalam dengan memperluas jangka waktu penelitian, membandingkan antar industri, dan memasukkan aspek budaya dan kualitatif.
