Abstract

Perkembangan zaman memberikan pengaruh terhadap berkembangnya pula aktivitas dan kebutuhan dalam stasiun. Stasiun kini tidak hanya merupakan ruang untuk bertransportasi namun juga mempunyai nilai dan peran penting lainnya, contohnya seperti nilai sejarahnya, sebagai representasi suatu daerah, serta sebagai ruang publik stasiun itu sendiri. Perancangan berdasarkan dengan rumusan masalah terkait bagaimana desain stasiun sebagai ruang sarana transportasi dapat menciptakan alur pengguna yang memudahkan dalam proses menggunakan stasiun serta bagaimana desain dapat memfasilitasi perkembangan aktivitas dan kapasitas stasiun tanpa merusak struktur arsitektur cagar budaya. Oleh karena itu, perancangan Stasiun Tawang dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk merancang ruang interior stasiun yang dapat digunakan sesuai kapasitas dan fungsi modernnya, dengan mempertahankan bangunan cagar budaya serta nilai sejarahnya. Tujuan perancangan proyek ini dirancang didukung dengan penggunaan metode desain kontras, penerapan Good Design Principles berdasarkan Network Rail Station Design, serta standarisasi stasiun berdasarkan PT. KAI. dengan memanfaatkan area sekitar bangunan utama dalam memenuhi kebutuhan kapasitas ruang dan alur penggunaan, tanpa merusak arsitektur utamanya. / As time progresses, the development of activities and needs at train stations also evolves based on the modern needs. At present time, train stations not only serve as spaces for transport uses but also have other important values and roles, such as their historical value, as representations of a region, and as public spaces themselves. The design is based on the problem about how the station as a transport facility space can create a user flow that support the process of using the station and how the design can facilitate the modern needs regarding to user activities and the capacity of the station without damaging the architectural structure of cultural heritage. Therefore, the design of Semarang Tawang Station is carried out with the aim of designing the interior space of the station that can be used according to its modern needs, while preserving the cultural heritage buildings and their historical value. The purpose of this project is supported by the use of the method of contrast design approach, the application of Good Design Principles based on Network Rail Station Design, and station standardization based on PT. KAI, by utilizing the area around the main building to fulfill space capacity needs and user flow, without damaging its original architecture.
