Abstract
High quality human resources are needed as competitive advantage of companies because products and prices are easy to be imitated by competitors but people are not. Therefore, requests of human resources from every department in the company, in this case, PT. Galvindo Ampuh, must be fulfilled on time by Human Resource Department (HRD). However, HRD in PT. Galvindo Ampuh is assigned to handle wide variety of tasks which some of them are not supposed to be handled by HRD so that there is urgent need for application that can help the human resource department to manage the recruitment process so they can fulfill the requests on time. This final year project concerns the development process of a system that involves analysis of the current system, requirements gathering, design, construction and installation plan. The methodology used to develop the proposed computer-based application is Rapid Application Development (RAD) with prototyping method. The proposed application is built using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and Wamp Server 2.0 that includes MySQL. The application development project is modelled with diagrams of UML version 2.0 such as activity, use case, class and behavioral state machine diagrams. Analytic Hierarchy Process is used in the application to help the manager of Human Resource Department selecting candidates for filling the job vacancy among the applicants. As a result of this final year project, there is a web-based application that help Human Resource Department to manage recruitment process. The front-end application is used by the applicants to submit and get informations about their application letters. The back-end application is used by the managers of departments, manager of Human Resource Department (HRD) and staffs of HRD in the company to exchange data and information related to the recruitment’s process.
