Abstract
RINGKASAN
Bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa nasional mampu mempersatukan perbedaan latar belakang. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, bahasa Indonesia penting untuk dipelajari siswa. Kebutuhan bahasa siswa terletak pada keterampilan menyampaikan ide yang sistematis dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Kebutuhan tersebut dapat diakomodasi dengan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berbasis teks. Teks berfokus untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi. Teks yang diajarkan guru berfokus pada teks eksplanasi. Teks eksplanasi adalah teks yang menjelaskan suatu peristiwa, konsep, ide, atau fenomena tertentu secara sistematis. Teks eksplanasi menjelaskan hubungan peristiwa atau proses terjadinya sesuatu secara lengkap. Sturktur teks eksplanasi terdiri dari identifikasi fenomena, rangkaian kejadian, dan ulasan. Pembelajaran teks eksplanasi menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah
(PBL). PBL menggunakan masalah sebagai langkah awal pembelajaran sehingga siswa dibiasakan untuk berpikir kritis dan berespons terhadap suatu fenomena. Hasil belajar menunjukkan siswa mulai terbiasa berpikir kritis dengan menganalis teks eksplanasi dengan baik. Berdasarkan pengalaman pembelajaran siswa, guru ingin pembelajaran memiliki makna bagi hidup siswa.

/ SUMMARY
Indonesian as a national language can unite differences in backgrounds. Based on this, students need to learn Indonesian. Students need language skills to convey ideas systematically and critical thinking skills. These needs can be accommodated with text-based Indonesian language learning. The text focuses on improving communication skills. The text taught by the teacher focuses on explanatory text topics. Explanatory text is text that explains a particular event, concept, idea, or phenomenon systematically. The explanatory text explains the relationship between events or the process by which something occurs completely. The structure of explanatory text consists of the identification of phenomena, series of
events, and reviews. Explanatory text learning uses a problem-based learning (PBL) model. PBL uses problems as the first step in learning so that students are accustomed to thinking critically and responding to a phenomenon. Student
learning results show that students are getting used to thinking critically by analyzing explanatory texts well. Based on students learning, the teacher wants learning to
have meaning for students' lives.
