Abstract

The paper industry is one of the essential industries that is required for the modern society to function. As a country with the resources and manpower, Indonesia is the 11th largest user of paper and paperboard products with just above 7,000,000 metric tons in 2021. In addition, the ministry of industry also noted that the paper industry has massive potential due to the fact that various papers for a variety of use cases is already produced domestically. Strong brands are needed to distinguish a firm from its rivals competing to fill in the same demand of paper products. This research uses the quantitative method to examine cause and effect with Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) 22.0 for data analysis. The objective of this research is to examine brand experience, brand personality, and sales promotion as potential factors that can influence brand equity with the intervention of brand image at PT. Ambona Semesta. A research questionnaire is used to collect responses from 190 male and female respondents aged 18-60 years. Research results show that brand image influences brand equity with a coefficient of regression of 0.856, brand experience influences brand image with a regression coefficient of 0.422, sales promotion influences brand image with a regression coefficient of 0.212, brand image mediates the influence of brand experience and sales promotion on brand equity, and sales promotion directly influences brand equity with a regression coefficient of 0.154./ Industri kertas adalah salah satu industri penting yang diperlukan agar masyarakat modern dapat berfungsi. Sebagai negara yang memiliki sumber daya dan tenaga kerja, Indonesia merupakan negara pengguna produk kertas dan karton terbesar ke-11 dengan jumlah sedikit di atas 7.000.000 metrik ton pada tahun 2021. Selain itu, Kementerian Perindustrian juga mencatat bahwa industri kertas memiliki potensi yang sangat besar karena fakta bahwa berbagai kertas untuk berbagai use case sudah diproduksi di dalam negeri. Merek yang kuat diperlukan untuk membedakan suatu perusahaan dari para pesaingnya yang bersaing untuk memenuhi permintaan yang sama atas produk kertas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif untuk menguji sebab akibat dengan Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) 22.0 untuk analisis data. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengalaman merek, kepribadian merek, dan promosi penjualan sebagai faktor potensial yang dapat mempengaruhi ekuitas merek dengan intervensi citra merek pada PT. Ambona Semesta. Kuesioner penelitian digunakan untuk mengumpulkan tanggapan dari 190 responden pria dan wanita berusia 18-60 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra merek berpengaruh terhadap ekuitas merek dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,856, pengalaman merek mempengaruhi citra merek dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,422, promosi penjualan berpengaruh pada citra merek dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,212, citra merek memediasi pengaruh pengalaman merek dan promosi penjualan terhadap ekuitas merek, dan promosi penjualan berpengaruh langsung terhadap ekuitas merek dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,154.
