Abstract
Pos Bloc Medan is one of the iconic tourist attractions in Medan, Pos Bloc
Medan formerly was a Medan Post Office that rehabilitated by PT Pos Properti
Indonesia and PT Ruang Kreatif Pos. However, there are issues regarding the
intention to visit Pos Bloc Medan. The purpose of this research is to identify the
influence of experience quality (EQ) and prior knowledge (PK) on Pos Bloc Medan
visitors on intention to visit (INV) moderated by social media (SM). This research
uses quantitative methods. Data is collected through the distribution of Google
Forms questionnaire. The population for this research is visitors who have visited
Pos Bloc Medan for the past year. 184 respondents were collected using the
convenient sampling technique. The findings regarding P-values demonstrate that
the effect of experience quality (EQ) and prior knowledge (PK) on intention to visit
(INV) is significant. However, the moderating effect of social media (SM) between
experience quality (EQ) and intention to visit (INV) and between prior knowledge
(PK) and intention to visit (INV) are insignificant. Additionally, the finding
regarding R-square adjusted value of 36.9% indicates that 63.1% of intention to
visit is influenced by other variables such as destination image, perceived value,
travel motivation. The recommendations for Pos Bloc Medan are to maintain the
conservation of Pos Bloc Medan as a heritage site and tourist attraction and offers
more interesting and innovative events to increase the intention to visit./ Pos Bloc Medan merupakan salah satu tempat wisata ikonik di Medan, Pos
Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner Google Forms.
Medan selama setahun terakhir. 184 responden dikumpulkan dengan
menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Temuan mengenai P-value
