Abstract

Pendidikan pada dasarnya merupakan proses untuk membantu seseorang dalam mengembangkan dirinya sehingga mampu menghadapi setiap perubahan yang terjadi dalam kehidupannya. Perkembangan pendidikan merupakan sarana dan wadah dalam pembinaan Sumber Daya Manusia. Tetapi dalam praktiknya banyak sekali ditemukan permasalahan. Masalah yang ditemui dan akan diangkat oleh peneliti berdasarkan metode yang diterapkan adalah : “Dapatkah penerapan metode Quantum Learning meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di kelas VIII pada pelajaran Matematika?”. Metode Quantum Learning ini membantu siswa dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang efektif dan kondusif dengan cara memanfaatkan unsur- unsur yang ada pada siswa. Sedangkan tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat dapatkah metode Quantum Learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa kelas VIII pada pelajaran Matematika. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan oleh peneliti terdiri dari 3 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan kegiatan, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pada siklus I ketuntasan belajar dan aktifitas siswa belum mencapai indikator kinerja. Pada siklus II hasil belajar dan aktifitas siswa telah mencapai indikator kinerja yang ditetapkan. Pada siklus tiga peneliti memastikan indikator kinerja aktifitas siswa masih dapat berjalan dengan baik atau tidak. Simpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Quantum Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan menumbuhkembangkan aktifitas siswa di kelas. / Educational basically a constitute process to help people in developing themselves so that they can face each changes that happens in their life. Development on educational is a constitute medium and vessel in Human Resource construction. But in the practice there are many problems found. The problem elevated by the researcher based on the applied method was, “What the implementation of Quantum Learning method can improves students’ motivation in learning grade VIII Mathematics?”. Quantum Learning method helped student in creating a condusive and effective learning environment by utilizing the characteristics of the students. Meanwhile the aim of this research learning is to see what student can be motivated by implementation of Quantum Learning method that had been applied in real life classroom situation. This action research that was done by the reasearcher consist of 3 cycles, each cycle was devided into four steps of activity, that are planning, action, observation, and reflection. On the first cycle, the students’ learning activity hadn’t reached the perfomance indicators. On the second cycle, the student learning reasult had reached the perfomance indicators. On the third cycle, the researcher ensure that the perfomance indicator still ran well or not. The conclusion that can be taken from this reasearch is that the learning model of Quantum Learning can increase students study result and grow the development of the student activity in the class.
