Abstract

Efikasi diri akademik merupakan keyakinan individu terhadap kemampuannya dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas akademik yang berperan dalam proses motivasi, kognitif, afektif, dan selektif. Pemahaman mengenai efikasi diri akademik penting untuk membantu institusi pendidikan dalam merancang intervensi yang sesuai dengan tingkat akademik mahasiswa keperawatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran efikasi diri akademik pada mahasiswa keperawatan tahun akademik pertama dan tahun akademik ketiga di salah satu universitas swasta di Indonesia bagian barat. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 282 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah The Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (TASES). Data penelitian akan dianalisis secara univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa keperawatan tahun akademik pertama (95,0%) dan mahasiswa tahun ketiga (99,3%) memiliki efikasi diri akademik yang tinggi. Peneliti merekomendasikan institusi pendidikan untuk dapat melibatkan mahasiswa dari berbagai fakultas dan universitas untuk melakukan perbandingan yang komprehensif mengenai pengaruh lingkungan akademik dan budaya institusi terhadap efikasi diri mahasiswa. Peneliti selanjutnya perlu melakukan studi longitudinal dalam meninjau perkembangan efikasi diri secara lebih mendalam pada mahasiswa keperawatan tahun pertama dan ketiga agar dinamika perubahan efikasi diri dapat dipetakan secara lebih akurat./Academic self-efficacy refers to an individual's belief in their ability to complete academic tasks, which supports motivational, cognitive, affective, and selective. Understanding academic self-efficacy is essential for educational institutions to design interventions that are appropriate for the academic level of nursing students. This study aims to describe academic self-efficacy in first-year and third-year nursing students at a private university in western Indonesia. This study used a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach involving 282 respondents selected by purposive sampling. The instrument used is The Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (TASES). The data were analyzed using univariate analysis. The results indicated that 95.0% of first-year nursing students and 99.3% of third-year students reported high levels of academic self-efficacy. This study recommends that educational institutions involve students from various faculties and universities to conduct a more comprehensive comparison of the influence of the academic environment and institutional culture on student self-efficacy. Future research should consider longitudinal studies to examine the development of academic self- efficacy more deeply between nursing students in their first and third years, enabling a more accurate mapping of its dynamic changes.
