Abstract

Siswa kelas XA di sekolah XYZ cenderung tidak terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Siswa kurang antusias, cenderung pasif, serta mudah merasa bosan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan kegiatan pembelajaran berdasarkan MI dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, dan bagaimana penerapan kegiatan pembelajaran berdasarkan MI dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model spiral dari Kemmis dan Taggart dalam dua siklus. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan checklist mentor, angket siswa, wawancara mentor dan siswa, feedback mentor, dan jurnal refleksi. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik sederhana dan analisa deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa penerapan kegiatan pembelajaran berdasarkan MI dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Adapun kegiatan pembelajaran berdasarkan MI untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa adalah dengan pembuatan drama, lagu, video, power point, dan poster. Selama proses pelaksanaan siswa tetap diberi motivasi dan dibimbing dalam pengerjaan di kelompok. / XA students at XYZ schools did not engaged during learning. Students seem less enthusiastic, quite passive, and easily get bored. The research aims are to determine whether the implementation of learning activities based on MI can enhance students’ engagement, and how the implementation of learning activities based on MI can enhance students’ engagement. The research methodology used class action research (CAR) spiral’s model by Kemmis and Taggart in two cycles. Data collection in this research using mentor’s checklist, student’s questionnaire, mentor and student interviews, mentor’s feedback, and reflection journals. Data analysis used simple statistic and descriptive analysis. The result shows that the implementation of learning activities based on MI can enhance students’ engagement. The implementation of learning activities based on MI can enhance students’ engagement by making drama, song, video, power point, and poste. During the process, students are given motivation and being guided in doing their group work.
