Abstract

Keterampilan menggunting adalah salah satu keterampilan yang seharusnya dimiliki oleh anak berusia 5-6 tahun. Namun salah satu sekolah di Lampung menunjukkan bahwa anak belum memiliki keterampilan tersebut. Hal ini terbukti ketika peneliti memberikan tugas atau latihan menggunting, terdapat 22 dari 26 siswa yang belum bisa menggunting dengan benar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat metode drill dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menggunting siswa dan mengetahui langkah-langkah metode drill mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menggunting siswa TK B sekolah di Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Pelton. Penelitian dimulai dari 14 Agustus 2018 sampai 14 September 2018. Adapun subjek yang diteliti adalah siswa TK B sekolah di Lampung sebanyak 26 siswa yang terdiri dari 15 perempuan dan 11 laki-laki. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar umpan balik mentor atau lembar observasi, lembar hasil tes yang diukur menggunakan rubrik, RPP peneliti, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil data yang diperoleh, terlihat adanya peningkatan persentase menggunting siswa terhadap indikator 1 dan 2. Pada penerapan 1, indikator 1 sebanyak 60%, terjadi peningkatan pada penerapan 2 sebanyak 4%, kemudian terjadi juga peningkatan pada pertemuan ke 3 sebanyak 19%. Sama halnya dengan indikator 2. Pada penerapan 1 sebanyak 50%, terjadi peningkatan pada pertemuan 2 sebanyak 34% dan terjadi penurunan pada pertemuan ke 3 sebanyak 44%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode drill dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menggunting siswa dan langkah-langkah yang digunakan dalam metode drill yaitu tahap persiapan dan tahap pelaksanaan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menggunting siswa TK B sekolah di Lampung./Cutting skills is one of the skills that should have been learned by children aged 5-6. However, a school in Lampung shows that children have not had this skill. This is proven when the researcher assigned assignments involving cutting. 22 out of 26 students show that they cannot cut properly. The aim of this research is to observe how the drilling method affects the cutting skills of Kindergarten-3 students in a school in Lampung. The research method used is the Pelton model of Classroom Action Research. The research started on August 14, 2018 and ended on September 14, 2018. The research subjects are 26 students, consisting of 15 females and 11 males. Data is gathered through mentor feedback sheets or observation sheets, test results assessed with a rubric, the researcher’s lesion plan, and the researcher’s reflection journal. The data gathered shows an improvement in the students’ cutting skills based on indicators 1 and 2. During the first implementation, the first indicator shows a 60% improvement. During the second implementation, there is a 4% improvement, and the 3rd implementation shows a 19% improvement. The second indicator shows a similar result – there is a 50% improvement in the first implementation, a 34% improvement in the 2 nd implementation and a 44% improvement in the 3rd implementation. Therefore, it can be concluded that the drilling method can improve students’ cutting skills and that the steps used in the drilling method is the preparation step and the implementation step.
