Abstract

Disiplin merupakan suatu aspek yang penting untuk menciptakan suatu keteraturan, ketaatan, dan kepatuhan di lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, dan masrayakat. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, peneliti menemukan bahwa rendahnya disiplin belajar siswa pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran, terlihat bahwa seluruh siswa datang terlambat ke ruangan physical education, sebagian besar siswa tidak mengikuti tata tertib dan peraturan, serta tidak memperhatikan penjelasan dan instruksi yang diberikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui penerapan konsekuensi positif dan konsekuensi negatif dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar dan 2) menjelaskan langkah-langkah penerapan konsekuensi positif dan konsekuensi negatif. Model penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model Robert P. Pelton. Penelitian dilaksanakan sejak tanggal 9 Agustus 2018 hingga 6 September 2018. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua penerapan dengan melibatkan 23 siswa di SD Kristen di tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa instrumen yang terdiri dari rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), umpan balik mentor, jurnal refleksi, dan lembar observasi mentor. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan kedisiplinan belajar siswa melalui penerapan prosedur konsekuensi positif dan konsekuensi negatif. Langkah penerapan konsekuensi positif dan konsekuensi negatif, yaitu memberitahukan dan mengingatkan kembali konsekuensi serta peraturan, melaksanakan konsekuensi sesuai kesepakatan bersama, dan melaksanakan konsekuensi serta peraturan secara konsisten. Hasil peningkatan dapat dilihat bahwa seluruh siswa datang tepat waktu ke ruangan physical education, sebagian siswa mengikuti tata tertib dan peraturan, serta sebagian besar siswa memperhatikan pada saat peneliti menjelaskan dan memberikan instruksi. Hal yang terpenting bahwa penerapan prosedur konsekuensi positif dapat mendorong siswa berperilaku disiplin dan konsekuensi negatif sebagai peringatan sehingga siswa menyadari akan kesalahannya./ Discipline is one of the important aspects to create an order, obedience, and submission in family, school, and society. Based on the observation, the researcher found that the students’ discipline were low in the teaching and learning process, shown that all students were late to the physical education room, most of the students did not follow the rules and regulations, and they did not pay attention to the instruction given. This research was aimed are 1) to found out whether the positive and negative consequences improve students’ discipline or not and 2) to explain the steps of implementation of positive and negative consequences. The research model implemented by the researcher was Classroom Action Research (CAR) of Pelton. The research was done from August 9, 2018 to September 6, 2018. The research was done twice involving 23 students in one of primary schoools in Tangerang. The instrument used in this research were lesson plan, mentor feedback, reflection journal, and mentor observation sheet. The result of this research shows that there was improvement on students’ discipline through the implementation of positive and negative consequences. The steps of the implementation of the positive and negative consequences were, tell and remind the consequences and the rules, implement the consequences according to the agreement, and implement the consequences and the rules consistently. The improvement can be seen that all the students came on time to the physical education room, some students follow the rules and regulations, and most of the students pay attention to the explanation and the instruction given. The most important thing is that the implementation of positive consequences motivated the students to become more discipline and the negative consequences became warning that motivated the students to realize their faults.
