Abstract

Keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran adalah salah satu faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan dari pembelajaran tersebut. Keterlibatan siswa dapat dilihat melalui sikap dan emosi siswa yang ditunjukkan selama proses pembelajaran. Kenyataannya, siswa yang diamati cenderung tidak mau terlibat aktif baik secara fisik maupun emosi, sehingga proses pembelajaran cenderung pasif. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menerapkan metode Time Token yang bertujuan: 1) untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterlibatan sikap dan emosi siswa kelas V di SLH Sangihe melalui metode pembelajaran Time Token. 2) untuk mengetahui langkah langkah metode Time Token dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan sikap dan emosi siswa kelas V di SLH Sangihe. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Pelton. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 13 Agustus-21 Oktober 2018 dengan subjek penelitian 25 siswa di kelas V SLH Sangihe. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, lembar umpan balik mentor, lembar observasi ceklis, jurnal refleksi, dan refleksi siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yakni teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) keterlibatan sikap siswa meningkat dari 67% menjadi 73% dan keterlibatan emosi siswa meningkat dari 73% menjadi 97%. 2). Metode Time Token diterapkan melalui 5 langkah yakni: a) pembentukkan kelompok; b) pembagian kupon bicara; c) siswa berbicara sesuai instruksi; d) pengambilan kupon dan pemberian nilai; dan e) membatasi siswa untuk berbicara jika kuponnya sudah habis./ Student engagement in the learning process is one of the factors that determine the success of the learning. Student engagement can be seen through the behavioural and emotional of students shown during the learning process. In fact, during the observation the students tended not to be actively involved both physically and emotionally, so the learning process became passive. Therefore, researchers applied the Time Token method that aims: 1) to increase the behavioural and emotional engagement of fifth grade students at SLH Sangihe 2) to find out the steps of the Time Token method that increases of the behavioural and emotional engagement of fifth grade students at SLH Sangihe. The research method used was Pelton's Classroom Action Research. This research was carried out for two times implementation with 25 students as research subjects. The research instruments used were the RPP (lesson plan), mentor feedback sheet, checklist observation sheet, reflection journal, and student reflection. The analysis technique used is qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the students' behavioral engagement increased from 67% to 73% and students' emotional engagement increased from 73% to 97%. The Time Token method is applied through 5 steps, namely: a) group formation; b) talk coupon distribution; c) students speak according to instructions; d) taking coupons and granting values; and e) limit students to talk if the coupon is finished.
