Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan refleksi peneliti selama mengajar di kelas IVA Sekolah Dasar Swasta Kristen di Manado, peneliti menemukan siswa kurang menunjukkan perilaku disiplin seperti: memotong pembicaraan teman dan guru saat diskusi kelas tanpa aturan yang jelas, tidak mempersiapkan peralatan belajar yang sesuai dan tidak menerapkan peraturan hand signals selama proses pembelajaran. Peneliti menerapkan penguatan positif untuk meningkatkan disiplin yang diharapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan penguatan positif dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa, dan bagaimana penerapan penguatan positif meningkatkan disiplin siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas 4A SD ABC Manado mulai dari 20 Agustus 2018 – 19 Oktober 2018. Metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan adalah PTK oleh Robert P. Pelton dengan 5 tahapan penelitian, yaitu identifikasi masalah, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, penyajian data dan assesmen luaran. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data yaitu, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Umpan Balik Mentor, Lembar Checklist Observasi Mentor, dan Jurnal Refleksi peneliti menunjukkan bahwa penerapan penguatan positif dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa kelas IVA Sekolah Dasar Swasta di Manado. Penguatan positif dilakukan dengan pemberian stiker secara konsisten dan reflektif. /lah Dasar Swasta Kristen di Manado, researcher found that students are not showing discipline, such as: Interupt friends or teacher who is talking without any clear regulation, do not prepare appropriate learning stuffs, and do not apply hand signals during the learning process. Then researcher try to implement positive reinforcement to enhance students’s discipline. The purpose of the reseach are to know whether the implementation of positive reinforcement can enhance students’ discipline and how the implementation of positive reinforcement enhance students’ discipline. The research was conduct in grade 4A SD ABC Manado from August 20th, 2018 till October 19th, 2018. The research method was by Robert P. Pelton model of Classroom Action Research. There are five steps of research, Issue Identification, Action Planning, Plan Activation and Outcome Assesment. The intruments that use to collect data are Lesson Plan, Checklist Observation Form, Feedback Mentor Form, and Journal Reflection of the researcher. The result of data analyzis shows that the implementation of positive reinforcement enhances students’ discipline in grade IVA Sekolah Dasar Swasta di Manado, Positive Reinforcement was applied by giving sticker consistanly and reflectively.
