Abstract

Mengingat materi pelajaran yang telah diajarkan merupakan salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan siswa dalam memperoleh nilai yang baik. Namun kenyataannya dalam proses pembelajaran IPA di dalam kelas yang telah diamati oleh peneliti terlihat bahwa siswa sulit untuk mengingat materi pelajaran IPA, sehingga berdampak pada nilai siswa yang kurang dari standar KKM. Oleh sebab itu untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka peneliti menggunakan mind map untuk membantu siswa kelas IV (empat) sekolah dasar dalam mengingat materi pelajaran IPA. Serta peneliti ingin mengetahui langkah-langkah penggunaan mind map untuk membantu siswa dalam mengingat materi pelajaran IPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart yang dilakukan dengan dua kali siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Sekolah Lentera Harapan Curug pada kelas IVA. Penelitian berlangsung pada tanggal 2 Agustus 2015 sampai 13 November 2015. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen penelitian untuk mendapatkan data dan informasi yang berkaitan dengan permaslahan tersebut yaitu lembar angket siswa, lembar pengamatan, lembar tes siswa, lembar observasi, jurnal refleksi, daftar nilai siswa, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, penggunaan mind map dapat membantu siswa dalam mengingat materi pelajaran IPA yang terlihat dari hasil nilai tes yang dicapai siswa, hasil data angket siswa, hasil data pengamatan guru mentor, dan jurnal refleksi. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan mind map di dalam proses pembelajaran dapat membantu siswa kelas IV (empat) sekolah dasar untuk mengingat materi pelajaran IPA. / Given the subject matter that taught is a successfull main factor of student to gain good score. Yes, in fact science learning process in the classroom have obeserved by researcher that students were hard to remember the science subject has been taught, so that’s give impact to the student’s score which below from KKM standard. Therefore, in order to solve the problem the researcher use mind map to helping the primary grace four students to remember the science subject. The researcher want to know the steps of using mind map to help the primary grade four students to remember the science subject.Researcher used Classroom Action Reseacrh with Kemmis and Taggart type and implemented in twice cycles. The research held in Lentera Harapan School, Curug grade four (IV) A. The research started from 2nd August 2015 until 13th November 2015. The researcher used research instrument to collect data and information related to the problems by students questionare, observation paper, students worksheet, reflection journal, students assessment report and documentation.Based on this research, mind map can help students to remeber the science subject seeing from the test score of student, the result of students questionare, the data result of mentor observation, and reflection journal. The conclusion is using mind map in the learning process can help the primary grade four students to remember the natural materials of science lesson.
