Abstract

Pendidikan Kristen bertujuan untuk mengarahkan peserta didik memiliki karakter Kristus, salah satunya kedisiplinan. Karakter akan nampak dari perilaku. Perilaku disiplin berkaitan dengan sikap patuh dan taat terhadap peraturan dan tata tertib. Faktanya, dalam proses pembelajaran didapati terdapat peserta didik masih kurang disiplin dalam mengikuti kelas, mengumpulkan tugas dan penggunaan seragam sekolah. Guru sebagai komponen pendidikan yang berinteraksi langsung dengan peserta didik, dapat memberikan pengaruh lewat tuntunan serta arahan. Oleh karena itu, penulisan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru Kristen sebagai penuntun dalam mengupayakan perilaku disiplin peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Peran guru sebagai penuntun merupakan wujud nyata dari penebusan Kristus yang bertujuan untuk memulihkan citra Allah yang sudah rusak dalam diri manusia. Penerapan peran guru sebagai penuntun dengan melakukan beberapa upaya seperti memberikan teladan, motivasi, fasilitasi dan kepedulian dapat membentuk disiplin peserta didik, namun belum maksimal. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru tersebut haruslah beriringan dan didasarkan pada lima hal, yaitu: lahir baru, mempunyai pemahaman etika Kristen, memahami karakter dan natur peserta didik, mengupayakan perilaku disiplin peserta didik dengan tujuan memulihkan gambar Allah, dan selalu mengandalkan Roh Kudus. Peran guru sebagai penuntun, sebaiknya dilakukan secara konsisten./Christian education aims to direct students to have the character of Christ, one of which is discipline. Character will be seen from behavior. Disciplinary behavior is related to being obedient and obedient to rules and regulations. In fact, in the learning process, it was found that students were still lacking discipline in attending classes, collecting assignments, and using school uniforms. The teacher as an educational component that interacts directly with students can exert influence through guidance and direction. Therefore, writing this final project aims to determine the role of Christian teachers as guides in pursuing student discipline behavior. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The teacher's role as a guide is a tangible manifestation of Christ's redemption which aims to restore the image of God that has been damaged in humans. The application of the teacher's role as a guide by making several efforts such as setting an example, motivation, facilitation, and caring can shape student discipline, but it is not optimal. The efforts made by the teacher must be in tandem and based on five things, namely: being born again, understanding Christian ethics, understanding the character and nature of students, seeking student discipline behavior with the aim of restoring the image of God, and always relying on the Holy Spirit. The teacher's role as a guide should be done consistently.
