Abstract

Tanggung jawab merupakan salah satu karakter yang penting bagi siswa yang memiliki identitas sebagai image of God dan peran sebagai generasi penerus bangsa. Beberapa ciri siswa yang bertanggung jawab adalah siswa yang mengerjakan setiap tugas dengan sungguh-sungguh, memiliki komitmen untuk mengumpulkan tugas tepat waktu, mengikuti instruksi guru, dan memiliki kesiapan untuk belajar. Fakta yang terjadi selama PPL 2 di salah satu sekolah dasar Kristen di Lampung, masih banyak siswa yang kurang bertanggung jawab. Maka penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji upaya yang dilakukan guru melalui pemberian konsekuensi dan penghargaan untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Melalui keteladanan guru Kristen bersikap di dalam kelas demi ketaatan penuh kepada Allah, siswa dapat melihat teladan yang nyata dalam peningkatan tanggung jawab. Hasil kesimpulan adalah dengan pengupayaan yang telah diterapkan yaitu pemberian konsekuensi dan penghargaan harus dilakukan dengan pendekatan terlebih dahulu serta guru mengambil tindakan verbal dan nonverbal. Pemberian konsekuensi dan penghargaan memiliki dampak positif yaitu peningkatan tanggung jawab siswa. Guru Kristen harus bertanggung jawab dalam memberikan konsekuensi dan penghargaan untuk tetap bersikap adil, objektif, konsisten, berkelanjutan, dan berdasarkan kasih kepada siswa dalam pembentukan karakter menuju keserupaan dengan Kristus./Responsibility is one of the important characters for students who have an identity as an image of God and a role as the nation's next generation. Some of the characteristics of responsible students are students who do each task seriously, have a commitment to submit assignments on time, follow teacher instructions, and have a readiness to learn. The fact that happened during PPL 2 in one of the Christian elementary schools in Lampung, there are still many students who are less responsible. Therefore, the role of Christian teachers is very much needed in seeking to increase student responsibility. So this writing aims to find out the consequences and rewards in increasing responsibility. The method used in this paper is qualitative descriptive analysis method. Through the example of Christian teachers in acting in the classroom for full obedience to God, students can see real examples in the formation of responsibility. The conclusions obtained are carried out with the efforts that have been applied during PPL 2, namely the provision of consequences and rewards. Giving consequences and rewards has a positive impact, namely increasing student responsibility. Christian teachers must be responsible for providing consequences and rewards to remain fair, objective, consistent, sustainable, and based on love for students in character building towards Christlikeness.
