Abstract
Fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence are important aspects of early childhood
development. This study aims to determine the role of paper folding in developing fine
motor skills, creativity, and confidence in students of Kindergarten A XYZ Jakarta.
The research was conducted using pretest and posttest. The subjects of the study
consisted of twenty-one students in one class. This type of research is quantitative and
uses an experimental method with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group
pretest-posttest without a control class. The research instrument used was a rubric for
all variables, validated by two experts. Data collection was conducted through
observation. To process the data, calculations were performed to find the n-gain to
compare pretest and posttest data, and the data was then tested using the Wilcoxon
Signed Rank Test. The hypothesis test results for fine motor skills showed an asymp.
sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000; the creativity hypothesis test results showed an asymp. sig. (2-
tailed) = 0.000; and the confidence hypothesis test results showed an asymp. sig. (2-
tailed) = 0.000. This indicates that there is a difference in fine motor skills, creativity,
and confidence before and after the paper folding activity in students at Kindergarten
A XYZ Jakarta. Thus, paper folding can develop the fine motor skills, creativity, and
confidence of students at Kindergarten A XYZ Jakarta. / Motorik halus, kreativitas, dan percaya diri merupakan bagian penting
dalam perkembangan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
peran melipat kertas dalam mengembangkan motorik halus, kreativitas, dan
percaya diri siswa TK A XYZ Jakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pretest dan
posttest. Subjek dalam penelitian berjumlah dua puluh satu siswa dalam satu
kelas. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitaif dengan metode eksperimen
dengan jenis pre-experimental design, dengan bentuk one group pretest-posttest
tanpa adanya kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu rubrik
untuk seluruh variabel yang telah divalidasi oleh dua orang ahli. Pengambilan data
dilakukan dengan observasi. Untuk mengolah data pada penelitian dilakukan
perhitungan dengan mencari n-gain untuk mengetahui data pretest dan posttest
kemudian diuji menggunakan uji Wilcoxon signed Rank Test. Hasil uji hipotesis
motorik halus menunjukkan perolehan asymp. sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000; hasil uji
hipotesis kreativitas menunjukkan perolehan asymp. sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000; dan
hasil uji hipotesis percaya diri menunjukkan perolehan asymp. sig. (2-tailed) =
0.000. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya perbedaan motorik halus,
kreativitas, dan percaya diri sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan kegiatan melipat
kertas pada siswa di TK A XYZ Jakarta. Sehingga dengan melipat kertas maka
motorik halus, kreativitas dan percaya diri siswa di TK A XYZ Jakarta dapat
dikembangkan
