Abstract

This study focuses on developing a training program in the form of a handbook designed to support teacher librarians in meeting the current demands of education. The research employs a research and development (R&D) method and the ADDIE instructional design model to create the handbook, which addresses the specific needs of teachers, librarians, and library staff by focusing on the necessary skills for their role as teacher librarians. Data was collected through needs analysis, validation from experts, multiple-choice tests, worksheets, presentation scores, and questionnaires. Multiple choice test assessments measured changes in participants’ knowledge, while worksheets and presentations evaluated their ability to apply the handbook’s content in practical situations. Participant feedback on usability, relevance, and overall satisfaction was gathered through a questionnaire. To analyze the data, a self-evaluation questionnaire was used to measure the participants’ perception of using the handbook. In addition, tallying the scores of multiple choice tests as well as worksheet and presentation scores were used to measure knowledge and skill improvement. The findings reveal significant improvements in participants’ knowledge and skills, with the survey average scores being 90%, multiple choice tests average scores being 89,62 and the worksheet and presentation average scores being 82,72. Thus, the handbook is proved to be a practical and valuable resource for teacher librarian training and development. / Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan dan evaluasi program pelatihan dalam bentuk buku panduan yang dirancang untuk mendukung guru pustakawan dalam memenuhi tuntutan pendidikan masa kini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian research and development (R&D), serta menggunakan model desain pembelajaran ADDIE untuk pembuatan buku panduan, yang disusun untuk menjawab kebutuhan guru, pustakawan, dan staf perpustakaan dengan menekankan pada keterampilan yang diperlukan dalam peran mereka sebagai guru pustakawan. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis kebutuhan, validasi oleh ahli, ujian pilihan ganda, lembar kerja, nilai presentasi, dan kuesioner. Penilaian ujian pilihan ganda digunakan untuk mengukur perubahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, sedangkan lembar kerja dan presentasi mengevaluasi kemampuan peserta dalam menerapkan isi buku panduan dalam situasi praktis. Umpan balik peserta mengenai kemudahan penggunaan, relevansi, dan kepuasan secara menyeluruh dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Untuk menganalisis data, kuesioner evaluasi diri diberikan untuk menilai persepsi peserta saat menggunakan buku panduan. Selain itu, nilai ujian pilihan ganda, lembar kerja, dan presentasi digunakan untuk melihat perubahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya perubahan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta melalui buku panduan, dengan hasil survei rata-rata sejumlah 90%, hasil rata-rata tes pilihan ganda sejumlah 89,62 dan hasil lembar kerja dan presentasi rata-rata sejumlah 82,72. Ini menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan terbukti menjadi sumber yang berguna dan efektif untuk pelatihan serta pengembangan guru pustakawan.
