Abstract
Panin Dai-ichi Life is a life insurance company in Indonesia, established in
1974. Panin Dai-ichi Life is part of the Panin Group, one of the largest and most
prominent business groups in Indonesia. The writer conducted the research at one
of Panin Dai-ichi Life's agency offices, PT Pou Sukses Bersama, located at Deli
Serdang, North Sumatra. The research is conducted due to the significant decline in
sales experienced by PT Pou Sukses Bersama that might be influenced by certain
attributes such as brand image, promotion, and customer trust on the customer
purchase decision. The purpose of the research is to examine the influence of brand
image, promotion, and trust on customer purchase decision at PT Pou Sukses
Bersama.
The population in the research is unknown due to the nature of business.
The research uses non-probability method and purposive sampling technique as
Lemeshow’s will be used to determine the number of samples in the research, with
a confidence level of 95% and a margin error of 10%. The result of the formula is
97 samples, but the writer round it up to 100 samples that are collected by spreading
the Google Form Questionnaire. A pre-test is conducted to 30 respondents to ensure
that the Google Form Questionnaire has passed the validity and reliability test
result.
The data analysis method that are used in the research are validity and
reliability test, descriptive analysis method, classical assumption test, multiple
linear regression analysis, and hypothesis test.
The result of the research shows that the variables of X (brand image,
promotion, and trust) have simultaneous influence on the variable of Y (customer
purchase decision) at PT Pou Sukses Bersama./ Panin Dai-ichi Life adalah perusahaan asuransi jiwa di Indonesia yang
didirikan pada tahun 1974. Panin Dai-ichi Life merupakan bagian dari Panin
Group, salah satu kelompok bisnis terbesar dan paling terkemuka di Indonesia.
Penulis melakukan penelitian di salah satu kantor agen Panin Dai-ichi Life, yaitu
PT Pou Sukses Bersama yang berlokasi di Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara.
Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya penurunan penjualan yang signifikan di PT
Pou Sukses Bersama, yang kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh atribut-atribut seperti
citra merek, promosi, dan kepercayaan pelanggan terhadap keputusan pembelian.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh citra merek,
promosi, dan kepercayaan terhadap keputusan pembelian pelanggan di PT Pou
Sukses Bersama.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini tidak diketahui karena keterbatasan dalam
bisnis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode non-probabilitas dan teknik purposive
sampling, dengan menggunakan rumus Lemeshow untuk menentukan jumlah
sampel dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% dan margin kesalahan 10%. Hasil
perhitungan menunjukkan 97 sampel, namun penulis membulatkannya menjadi 100
sampel yang dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner Google Form. Uji pra-tes
dilakukan terhadap 30 responden untuk memastikan bahwa kuesioner Google
Form telah lolos uji validitas dan reliabilitas.
Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji
validitas dan reliabilitas, metode analisis deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, analisis
regresi linier berganda, dan uji hipotesis.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel X (citra merek, promosi, dan
kepercayaan) memiliki pengaruh secara simultan terhadap variabel Y (keputusan
pembelian pelanggan) di PT Pou Sukses Bersama.
