Abstract

Salah satu faktor pendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran dalam kelas adalah konsentrasi. Setiap siswa membutuhkan konsentrasi agar dapat belajar dengan baik. Tingkah laku siswa yang tidak terkontrol, kurangnya minat belajar, tidak teraturnya siswa dalam mengumpulkan tugas, dan siswa yang berdiskusi selama pelajaran berlangsung merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan kurangnya konsentrasi belajar. Maka dari itu, guru harus mampu menangani dan mengarahkan tingkah laku siswa. Salah satu adalah melalui pelaksanaan aturan dan prosedur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi belajar siswa dalam pelajaran Matematika dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan aturan dan prosedur kelas. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa SMP kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 36 orang siswa. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Setiap siklusnya meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data diambil dari lesson plan, umpan balik mentor dan teacher educator, serta hasil refleksi penulis. Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis deskriptif naratif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa ada perkembangan yang dialami siswa kelas VIII dalam belajar Matematika. Siswa menjadi lebih teratur dan tertib saat mengumpulkan PR. Siswa dapat mengetahui kapan waktunya untuk memperhatikan, bertanya, mencatat, dan mengerjakan soal. Jika ditinjau dari hasil belajar, prestasi siswa meningkat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi belajar siswa dalam pelajaran Matematika SMP kelas VIII dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan aturan dan prosedur kelas. / One of the supporting factors to reach the objectives of lesson in the classroom is the concentration. Every student needs concentration in order to learn well. Uncontrollable students’ behaviors, lack of interest, distraction made by student in submitting the assignment, students chatting during the lesson are some factors that reduce students’ concentration. The teacher, therefore, has to be able to handle and manage the students’ behavior. One thing that can be done is following the rules and procedures. This research aims to show that the students’ concentration in learning mathematics can be enhanced by implementing the rules and procedures in the classroom. The subjects of this research are Junior High School students which consist of 36 students. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is the research method used in this research which comprises of three cycles. Each cycle consists of plan, action, observation, and reflection. The data is taken from lesson plan, mentor’s and teacher educator’s feedback, as well as the researcher’s reflection. The analysis of the data used narrative-descriptive analysis. Based on the result of the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a change experienced by students in grade 7 in learning mathematics. The students become more well-ordered and regulated in submitting their homework. The students know when they have to pay attention, ask, take note, and do assignment. In terms of the students’ result, they have made a progress. This has shown that the Junior High School students’ concentration in learning mathematics can be enhanced through the implementation of classroom rules and procedures.
